Narrative

  1. Te subjects are well placed in the image, and there are no distractions from the main focus. Conceptually the image is easy to understand, and little elements such as the phone add greatly to the storyline.

  2. Objective: There is nothing special objectively, save for the focal point being obvious: the front of the car and the back of the gate (with a few other focal elements scattered around the image, such as the phone, the hand, the lanyard). Besides that, there were no objective risks taken with the color, composition, or any other element of the image.

Subjective: I could make an obvious and coherent sequence of events, but it doesn't leave much to the imagination. With this image I tend to think that before the image was taken, the car crashed, and after, a towing company picked the car up. I could make a more robust story with effort, but there are no other specific details given that would add details or subplots to the mundane story of this image.

All in all, it gets the job done, but not much else.

  3. What I think happened in the image was that you hit the gate and you went to go see how much the damage was.then when you saw the damage you called either one of family members or your insurance company.what i feel like you should of done to make it a little bit more better and with more story to it is you should of made a fake big scratch and hit other car or something more bigger and if it showed your face more scared or worried it probably would of said more too.great quality though:).
